Ighodalo expresses shock over kidnap of Edo PDP chair

The candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the 2024 Edo State governorship election, Dr Asue Ighodalo, has expressed shock over the kidnap of the chairman of the PDP in the state, Dr Tony Aziegbemi.
In a statement, Ighodalo described the kidnapping of Aziegbemi as extremely shocking and distressing.
He noted: “The news of the kidnapping of the Edo State Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, Dr. Tony Aziegbemi, on Friday night, was extremely shocking and distressing.

“I strongly condemn this dastardly act, and my heart goes out to the Aziegbemi family at this very trying time. I join the family in offering fervent prayers for his safe return.”
Ighodalo urged security agencies to spare no effort in ensuring the release of the chairman, charging them on “investigating the matter and working assiduously for the party chairman’s safe release.”
