Edo 2024: Okpebholo dynasty endorses Ighodalo

Ahead of the September 21 governorship election in Edo, the Okpebholo family in Uromi, Esan North East, Edo State, has thrown their support for the governorship ambition of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, Dr Asue Ighodalo.
It was gathered that the family’s decision to support Ighodalo was solidified by the recent visit of the PDP governorship candidate to Bishop Matthew Okpebholo, a senior member of the Okpepbholo’s family
But another prominent family member, Mr. Patrick Okpebholo, who communicated the family’s decision to the Journalists in Benin City, asserted that Asue Ighodalo is their preferred candidate.

Mr. Okpebholo said that the visit of the PDP candidate to the home of the Bishop is seen as a strategic move by the candidate in consolidating the chances of the party in securing victory in the election.
According to him, the endorsement didn’t stop there; as Dr Odion Okpebholo, a former APC 2024 Edo gubernatorial aspirant, also recognised the potential for progress under Ighodalo’s leadership and endorsed his candidate by aligning with the PDP.
He maintained that the unified stance underscores the family’s belief in Ighodalo’s ability to steer Edo State towards prosperity and fulfillment of its potential.
